JAMES HETFIELD Talks About Second Annual 'Metallica Night' At AT&T Park (Video)

May 1, 2014

The San Francisco Giants' second annual "Metallica Night" will be held on May 16 when the Giants play the Miami Marlins at AT&T Park in San Francisco. Fans can buy ticket packages that include exclusive merchandise and benefit a good cause in addition to a night of baseball and METALLICA festivities.

METALLICA vocalist and guitarist James Hetfield spoke with Amy Gutierrez of MLB.com about the second annual "Metallica Night". Check out the chat at this location.

The band said in a statement: "We had such an amazing time last year supporting our local team and hanging at the yard that we jumped at the chance to do it all again . . . we'll be on hand to kick it off with the National Anthem and first pitch, joining the orange and black faithful for the rest of the evening for all kinds of METALLI-fun and games."

A special event ticket package is available that includes a ticket, an exclusive METALLICA/Giants-themed inflatable guitar and a METALLICA/Giants-themed guitar pick tin.

Partial proceeds from every ticket sold will benefit the Bay Area chapter of Little Kids Rock.

At last year's "Metallica Night", drummer Lars Ulrich threw out the first pitch while guitarists James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett performed the National Anthem.

METALLICA is reportedly at work on its 10th studio album, but will take a break this summer for a European tour on which the band will play an all-request set list every night, along with one new song.
